Allah Rakka Rahman is a famous musician of Hindi films. He was born on January 6, 1967 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. After his birth, his name is A. s. Dilipkumar Mudaliar was kept, later changed to A. R. Be Rahman. King of Suron, Rahman has given music in Hindi and many other languages in addition to his mother tongue, Tamil. Times Magazine gave him the title of Mozart of Madras. Rahman is the first Indian to be awarded the Golden Globe Award. a. R. Rahman is the first Indian to get three Oscar nominations for his music in the British Indian film Slum Dog Milneier. Best Grammy Award for Best Soundtrack Compilation and Best Film Song category for the song "Jai Ho" of the same movie.

Rahman has inherited the music from his father. His father RK Shekhar used to give music in Malayalam films. Rahman received music education from Master Dhanraj. At the age of 11, Rahaman used to play keyboards for synthesizers, with his childhood friend Sivamani. He used to work for the band of Iliyaraja. Rahman is credited with establishing the Chennai band "Nemesis Avenue". They used to play keyboards, piano, harmoniums and guitars. They consider synthesizer an amazing combination of art and technology. His father died when Rahman was nine, and the family had to sell musical instruments for money. Things got so worsened that their family had to adopt Islam. While working in the band group, he received scholarships from the Trinity College of Music, from London, where he earned a degree in Western classical music. The name of A R Rahman's wife is Saira Banu. They have three children- Khadija, Rahim and Aman. He is also a relative of South Indian actor Rashin Rehman. Rahman is the uncle of music composer GV Prakash Kumar.

Rahman married Saira Banu and currently, Rahman's three children are Khatija, Rahima and Amin. Uncle in the relationship of Rahman ji music composer G. V. Prakash Kumar, who is the son of Rahman's eldest sister, A. R. Reihana.
